Starting at the beginning...
Some of you know that Drew and I are expectant homeowner's, but some of you are wondering what's up with this house stuff? So I'll start at the beginning...back in July of last year Drew and I got word that a lot in Harrisonburg we'd been thinking about was going up for auction - unfortunately it was while we'd be in Oregon. That didn't stop us! We just got on the phone and had a realtor bid by-proxy while we were sitting at a lovely park on the way to Crater Lake...isn't that how everyone buys land?

I'm so excited for you! How far is the lot from where you live now?
I was telling Grandma Marilyn that you were probably putting up the second floor walls about now...lo and behold, you are. It's so fun to see the progress. Thanks for the update. I really like blog sites better than facebook! I am enjoying this vicariously through you, and so are others, so it's important you keep us grounded with current photos. Thanks so much. Love you, Mom (Rebecca)
Brrr. I'm sure you are looking forward to the furnace installation. I remember like it was yesterday being at your parents house in progress and it being so COLD, plastic on would-be windows. I can smell the fresh lumber. Good to see the pictures.
So exciting! I just wish I could see it in person. Sigh.
Keep on showing us the progress. Grandad and I are living the process with you.
Thank you for the comments you all have made my day!!!! :)
This is a very late comment, but I was just going through your blog again, HOPING to find some more pictures. Good thing your mom put up a few (hint, hint)...but anyway, I just love the whole bidding process you went through while you were at Crater Lake. Everytime I think about it, it makes me smile. How cool is that! You will definitely be telling that story for a long time!
And PLEASE keep the house pictures coming...it is beautiful! But, your mom just didn't send us enough to fill in the gaps of the last few months! YOU will have to do it...(I can't be as bad as your mom, now can I?!) :-)
