Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go for to you I lift up my soul. Psalm 143:8
We couldn't take pictures inside of the West Wing, but here we are outside of the doors. We saw the Oval Office and Cabinet Room among other things, I thought that would be the extent of my tour, until the suprise of the day was that the President would be arriving on Marine One! Excited? Yeah, just a little! Do you think Stacy knew who the perfect person would be to invite along on the tour? Though it was my birthday weekend, so maybe she was obligated :) Best gift EVER by the way!
For those of you who wondered what the White House looks like up close :) Ahah! all those on the other side of the fence.
West side of the White House and the West Wing.
Ahh, a rest in the Rose Garden. Do you think Laura has sat here?

For those "National Treasure" lovers...that's Trinity Church on the corner of Wall St. and Broadway.
What do two charming pilot wives, who's husbands are gone all the time, do for a weekend? Why head to New York City of course. Rachel's old college friend was going to be in the city for the day, so we headed up to see her, and had a great time in the process! Word of warning, never go to NYC in the summer...subway stations are not air-conditioned, and not pleasant. Other then that we had a great time: we ate well, saw beautiful things, met fun people...and didn't get home until 3am Monday morning...yes we both had to work. But the exhaustion has passed (and some how we managed the 5 hour drive home when neither of us are night people) but we still have the fun memories!

The Empire State Building --that is wrong! I apologize! I don't know what this building is, but it's not the ESB....oops! Please forgive me, there was always something off, but I couldn't put my finger on it...but then it dawned on me!
The Flatiron Building
Is that the classiest Home Depot ever? Sorry I just had to include it :)
